AGAVE americana 'Mediopicta'

Century Plant 'Mediopicta'. A succulent plant of strong architectural interest. Though not fully hardy a fabulous plant to use in a hot dry garden. Rosette shaped succulent and spiny leaves. This cultivar is smaller than A. americana and has shorter leaves with opposite variegation on the leaves - solid creamy white bands down the centre with powder blue margins. Will make a clump of rosettes over time. Good for growing in containers which can be moved for protection in winter. Hot sunny site, height up to 1 metre, Poor and well drained sandy soil.
